It was love at first touch for me upon discovering Precious Metal Clay/ Artclay. PMC/ Artclay consists of tiny particles of silver, gold, copper or bronze combined with an organic binder. This allows me to work with my favorite metals in clay form. Upon completion of the design the piece is fired in a jewelers kiln to burn of the binder. What is left is a 99.9% fine silver, 22k gold, copper or bronze piece. The finished pieces are worked just like traditionally cast pieces with a few adjustments. A patina can be applied to enhance the texture of each piece. Each piece is hand built as a one of a kind art piece or part of a limited series made with a molds and texture plates. PMC and Artclay use recycled silver from medical and industrial waste.
